Project Description

www.prosperband.com

Our band website serves as a hub for information that our parents and students can access easily and on a regular basis. We use multiple rehearsal fields, so the calendar is constantly updated so everyone is aware of the rehearsal location on any given day. We also use it to submit absence requests, get students in touch with private lessons faculty, store music for downloading and printing (members section for students only), post our weekly newsletter, in addition to other helpful uses.

Target Audience

Both current and new students and parents.

Overall budget

$300

Specific Budget Breakdown

The server and domain name come at the cost of about $300 annually.

New or recurring project?

Recurring

How did you update/change this project from its previous occurrence?

We continue to improve the website to make it easier to navigate and communicate new announcements with our students.

Measurement of the success/effectiveness of this project?

The most useful tool on the website is the calendar, which we update on a daily basis to include rehearsal times, locations, and adjustments. We just about never have students arriving late or at the incorrect location without a valid excuse.

Advice for someone looking to replicate this project in their own community?

Over-communicate, over-communicate, over-communicate
